Assembly
The post is supplied in two pieces: a base and a 2.3m upright. These simply slot together and are tightened using the grub screws supplied. The lamp then fits into a base plate at the top of the upright that is then screwed into place, (Phillps screwdriver).
Sqaure base is designed to bolt on to a concrete pad in four places.
Maintenance
As with all cast iron products, the post will weather through exposure to the elements. Cast iron lamp posts are, however, generally easy to restore and maintain.
The post and lamp are finished in black matt, but if a glossy or more uniform appearance is required, it can be primed and painted.
