Munich Beer Festival
The Munich Beer Festival first took place in 1810 to celebrate the marriage of then Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen. Being attended by over six million people every year, it is the largest fair in the world. It spans 16 days, beginning at the end of September.
