Polystone
Polystone is a high-grade, solid surface compound produced by combining stone, unsaturated resin and natural minerals. Whilst it has some similar characteristics to stone - including feel and durability – it is smooth and more flexible.
It is particularly suited to the manufacture of planters, resulting in durable, sleek, contemporary designs suitable for a wide variety of uses.
Maintenance
Polystone is extremely hard wearing and resilient to the effects of weathering, so these planters can be used inside and out. Colour may dull slightly over time, but these planters can be polished back up with either Linseed Oil or a general glass cleaner.
Planting
These planters do not feature drainage holes. If they are to be used outside, a layer of shingle should be placed in the base of the pot. Alternatively, drainage holes can be cut in. A layer of stones/shingle, such as the Rainbow Stones we stock, across the top soil can look effective.
