Maintenance
As with all cast iron products, this urn will weather through exposure to the elements. This can include the development of rust spots, mossing and general patination.
To prevent weathering the urn can be primed and painted. Weathered urns can be restored at any time through this process, although most prefer the development of a unique finish.
The Medici
The Medici family were the major patrons of art in Florence during their pomp. Between the 13th and 17th Centuries they were arguably the most influential family in the region, producing a series of prominent figures, including three popes.
